As of 1 July, WorldEmp will officially establish itself at RDM Rotterdam. The company, originally from the IJmond region with offices in Velsen-Zuid, Rotterdam, Eindhoven and India, is opening its own office in the Medische Dienst building. Following a welcoming start-up period at iTanks, WorldEmp now has a permanent place in an environment where innovation, technology and entrepreneurship come together.
Although WorldEmp will officially start operating from RDM Rotterdam on 1 July, we already felt welcome from day one. Thanks to the warm reception from the RDM Rotterdam team, we were able to set up our office and are looking forward to the official opening.
A Logical Step
RDM Rotterdam is a meeting place where start-ups, scale-ups, educational institutions, manufacturing companies and the maritime sector collaborate on the technologies of tomorrow. Innovation is at the heart of the campus, providing new ideas with the opportunity to grow into practical applications.
For WorldEmp, this feels like the natural place to continue building its network and expanding its services.
"I am incredibly happy with this location," says Chris van der Deijl, Marketing Director at WorldEmp.
"You are surrounded by innovation here every single day. Start-ups and scale-ups are given the opportunity to develop and grow, while the connection with the port and maritime industry is visible everywhere. That fits perfectly with the DNA of WorldEmp."
Building the Port of Tomorrow
For more than ten years, WorldEmp has helped organisations strengthen their teams structurally with highly educated international professionals in Engineering, Data, Finance and IT. These professionals work exclusively for the client and become an integral part of the team.
WorldEmp sees significant opportunities, particularly within the Port of Rotterdam. The energy transition, digitalisation and sustainability ambitions require specialist knowledge as well as sufficient capacity. At the same time, finding experienced professionals is becoming increasingly difficult.
"The challenges facing the port cannot be solved alone," Van der Deijl continues. "Fortunately, we do not have to. Talent does not stop at national borders. By gaining access to the right professionals worldwide, organisations can increase their innovative capacity and accelerate projects."
AI as Part of the Port of Tomorrow
The choice for RDM Rotterdam also aligns with the development of WorldEmp AI Solutions. Within the port, digitalisation, data and AI are playing an increasingly important role in enabling smarter, safer and more efficient operations.
For WorldEmp, technology and talent go hand in hand. By combining AI intelligently with human expertise, WorldEmp helps organisations not only work more efficiently but also accelerate innovation.
Rotterdam Feels Like Coming Home
For Chris van der Deijl, the new location also has personal significance. Rotterdam is his hometown. He has been part of WorldEmp for almost a year. Prior to that, he was active in the logistics sector, worked for the Rotterdam Port Promotion Council (RPPC), and serves as a board member of the Havenvereniging Rotterdam.
"For me, this feels like coming home. I look forward to further strengthening existing relationships from RDM and getting to know new organisations. The Port of Rotterdam is full of energy and ambition. It is great to now be right in the middle of it."
A Warm Welcome
The team looks back with great appreciation on the welcoming start-up period at iTanks and is grateful for the warm reception at RDM Rotterdam. Special thanks go to Gwendy Vink and Jouke Goslinga, who ensured that WorldEmp felt welcome within the RDM community from day one.
With this new Rotterdam base, WorldEmp aims to further strengthen its involvement with the port, industry and innovative manufacturing companies. We look forward to working together from RDM on both the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.
