Press Release: WorldEmp sets a new standard for responsible AI management

With ISO/IEC 42001 certification, WorldEmp joins a select group of approximately 500 certified organizations worldwide

Velsen-Zuid, The Netherlands – June 2, 2026 – WorldEmp, the company from the IJmond region with offices in Rotterdam, Eindhoven and India, has achieved ISO/IEC 42001 certification. With this achievement, the company joins a select group of approximately 500 organizations worldwide that demonstrably comply with the first international standard for AI management.

As a specialist in strengthening organizations with highly skilled international remote professionals, WorldEmp is increasingly using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support its services. By obtaining this certification, the company underlines its commitment to applying AI in a responsible, secure and controlled manner.

An important international recognition

Introduced in 2023, ISO/IEC 42001 is the first international standard for an Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS). Achieving this certification confirms that WorldEmp has established processes to responsibly develop, apply, monitor and continuously improve AI technologies.

The ISO/IEC 42001 certification builds on WorldEmp’s existing ISO/IEC 27001 management system. This integrates AI governance into established processes for information security, risk management and continual improvement.

Currently, only around 500 active ISO/IEC 42001 certificates have been issued worldwide. This places WorldEmp among a limited group of organizations that demonstrably operate according to an international standard for responsible, secure and controlled AI management.

At a time when AI is playing an increasingly important role in business processes, this certification reinforces WorldEmp’s ambition to deploy technology in a careful, transparent and future-proof manner.

Assurance for clients and AI projects

For clients who rely on the integration of international talent and technology-enabled support, this certification provides additional assurance:

  • Ethical safeguards
AI systems and AI-supported processes are assessed for transparency, fairness and the mitigation of unwanted bias.
  • Compliance and risk management
With ISO/IEC 42001, WorldEmp strengthens its AI governance framework and aligns with the increasing requirements surrounding AI regulation, including the European AI Act.
  • Reliability of talent matching
By embedding AI-driven processes within a formal management system, WorldEmp strengthens the quality, security and controllability of its services.

More than a recognition

“At WorldEmp, we believe in connecting the best talent in the world through technology. Achieving ISO/IEC 42001 certification is a natural next step in that mission,” said Peter van Londen, COO of WorldEmp.

“It is not only a recognition of the way we work, but above all a promise to our clients: that we deploy technology within clear frameworks for security, reliability and responsible use.”
